Happy Pukey New Year (part II)

I vaguely remember posting this exact same title last year. We in the Flaska household are all about consistency. Claire had the flu, but luckily it was only a 24 hour bug. She seems to be fine now, which is good. No one else got sick (knock on wood), which is truly a miracle.

You will be happy to know that I have figured out a large part of working my mp3, and in fact I am sitting here typing away listening to music. It can get distracting, since I tend to bop around while listening to music, but I can deal with that. I am trying to spare Dion by NOT singing out loud.

We had a nice Christmas. My brother John and his daughter Kelsey came up. Between John and Dion cooking, we dined quite well. But, one of the highlights of the visit is that Kelsey spent a lot of time with us. More than ever before, and I have to tell you, she is wonderful to have around. She's going to be 18 this month, and is going through the college search. One of which is in the cities, and after talking, Dion and I told her that if she wants to stay with us while she goes to school, she is more than welcome to. She's such a good kid, so smart, so pleasant, I miss her.

I am back to having a nasty case of eyelid twitch. I try to look in the mirror to see what it looks like, but that's hard to do when it's twitching all over the place. Then to top things off, i had to go in last night because of all things I have an ingrown hair! Huge! Gross! But when it started being encircled by a red patch, I gave in. I had tried things at home first, but they failed. So I got an antibiotic and it is actually looking better today. I also used a heating pad for as long as I could. Aint life grand? But, I was the only one at the ER so I was in and out in no time. I really thought there was going to be some lancing done, but thank God there wasn't.

Well, I guess that's it for now. I am sure more fun stuff will come up, oh, I forgot, it finally stopped raining here and we got about an inch or two of snow. Where's our winter?!?!?

Eyelid twitches are the WORST! And no one but you can see it, so everyone thinks you're crazy when you shout, "There it goes again! Did you see it that time?!"

Where was the ingrown hair? I sense more to that story...
